World Elephant Day
“Elephants are the cutest and the most friendly animals on the planet and We must keep them Safe”
Mps celebrated “World Elephant Day “ in an innovative way on 12th August 2023 to create an awareness with regard to the significance of Elephants and the indispensable role they play in Afforestation.
The Special Guests for the day were Dr. Raja Mathivanan the Founder of Arumbugal Trust and Mrs. Latha Mathivanan the Director of Arumbugal Trust with their Troupe of Performers.
The event began with the welcome Address by the Principal followed by the motivational speech highlighting the essential role of the Elephants and the due need to preserve the endangered species.
The Troupe of Performers from Arumbugal Trust enacted an Opera to instil an awareness against plastics and the steps one has to follow to save the Birds, Elephants and Animals the Guardian Angels of the Forest - the future of Human being Mrs. Latha Mathivanan addressed the students infusing in them the love for Nature Students of Arumbugal Trust in coordination with kalakad mundandurai Tiger Reserve Eco Development Zone has planned to organise an "Eco awareness message on wheels program" on 13th along with Eco club students of Mps from Tirukkurankudi to papanasam from 9.00 pm to 7.00 pm to propagate the theme “Avoid plastics” , " Save Birds and Animals form Extinction "and “Go Clean Go Green" The Students imbibed the message through the mode of Entertainment and pledged to contribute towards this noble cause.
