World wetland day was celebrated by Nellai Nature Club, Nellai Runner Trust, Atree in coordination with Muthamil Public School with a view to create awareness among the masses to preserve the wetlands a mini marathon race was conducted titled “Run for Tamiraparani” on 6th Feb 2021. The event started at Pirancheri and ended in Narasinganallur covering around 4.5 km. The Honourable commissioner of Police of Tirunelveli District inaugurated and participated in the marathon run. Students and staff of Muthamil Public school along with members of the various clubs enthusiastically participated.
